The client's request was to restructure their part of a duplex. With the energy upgrading was possible to use the volume bonus and thus make a living attic.
On the ground floor is the parents' apartment on the first and second floor was built the new apartment for the son.
The enlargement has been made in wooden structure and insulated with wooden fiber.
Thanks to the ground floor widening now the plant is almost a perfect square. It was decided to reduce the volume and create a view to the south using the terrace on the first and the second floor.
On the second floor, we can find the bedrooms and another small terrace.
The design concept plays with the archetypal form of the house clearly recognizable in the metal frame that binds it together and defines the new volume.
