That's how beautiful an eco house can be: the contemporary architecture, the modern design and the sustainability of "Dahoam" meet highest standards. The design by Bolzano-based architect Manuel Benedikter is straight and uncompromisingly attractive; the unadorned, harmonious furnishing was conceived by the land Iady, Birgit Dosser in her own house, the designer had the opportunity to implement all the ideas and experience she has gathered over the years. A building was thus completed in 2010, which is ideal in many respects. "Dahoam"

is a two-storey solid building with an additional storey in timber construction and a modern interpretation of

a gabled roof on top. Both building volumes are connected with a steel framework. Sliding elements made of

larch wood lamellas, which serve as shading devices and ensure privacy on the balcony, are attached to the framework, which also supports the all-round terrace. Typical materials, which have been used to construct farmhouses in the region for centuries, were selected. The house is optimally positioned towards the sun, the insulation is perfect. Heating is provided with geothermal energy and thermal heat pumps, which are powered by means of solar panels on the rooftop. Four holiday apartments for up to 4 people are accommodated on the ground and the first floor. All apartments offer modern furnishings, large windows and a direct access to the garden with a swimming pond. The scent of water lilies and the warmth of the wood turn the garden with a pool on two Ievels into a paradise for young and old guests alike. Should questions arise about the area, the architecture or the design during the vacation, that's no problem: the host family lives on the attic floor.
