The client's request was to energetically restructure the paterent´s house and expand it with the use of the cubic bonus.
During the construction people lived in the ground floor apartment and it was a particularly interesting challenge for the design and execution of the works. On the ground floor only small interventions were made, while on the first floor and in the attic a completely new duplex was created: in the first floor - new entrance and sleeping area . For the second floor, the existing attic was demolished until the last floor, and a new reinforced concrete floor was made, bigger than the previous one, protruding on three sides, to make the most of the bonus obtained about 200 cubic meters.
In the extended attic, with wooden structure, it was possible to create a huge open space with a kitchen and living room, a guest bedroom and a small toilet.
In the attic, energy efficiency and architectural beautyness come together in a perfect marriage. The favorable position of the building has been exploited to create large openings and a large terraceto the east.
Each opening has been designed as a panoramic point of view for the beautiful surroundings, in a continuous osmosis between exterior and interior.
The contemporary nature of the top floor was marked by the roof reinterpretation in a modern key.
