FROM CONCEPT TO REALITY
For this project, two residential buildings, each three storeys high, were constructed - they are separate and slightly offset from one another.
A shared outdoor area has been created to link the two buildings, featuring a central square equipped with seating, a playground, a drinking fountain and small trees providing shade.
The space serves as a meeting place and the hub of social life.
Along the access route to the square, there are bicycle parking spaces, some covered and some under an open pergola, whilst at the north-eastern end of the outdoor area there is another pergola with seating and views over the valley.

CONCEPT
The two building blocks feature gabled roofs and are accessed via covered entrances.
Both buildings have spacious terraces facing the valley, on their south-west façades respectively.
The project's energy concept involves an air-to-air heat pump combined with a photovoltaic system, which allows the use of fossil fuels to be completely eliminated. The photovoltaic system is designed to generate the electricity required for the base load of the shared heat pump and for lighting the communal areas.
In addition, each individual residential unit has its own photovoltaic system for private use.
