The first KlimaHaus Gold nature in brick
For his house, Roberto Magnanelli wanted to combine his own constructive experience with modern architecture, also in the energetic sense. In order to create a low-energy building that does not hide the characteristics and the quality of the materials, the company F.lli Magnanelli turned to the architect Manuel Benedikter from Bolzano, who from the beginning involved engineer Paolo Veggetti as installation planner.
The position of the building plot reduces the solar yield in winter, but shades the building in summer to compensate. By means of simulations of the course of the sun, which also take into account the topography of the terrain, it was possible to optimize the orientation of the building.
The building consists of two bodies that open up to the panorama and provide a view of the sea; the daytime zone is located in the lowest volume, while the night zone is spread over the two floors above the ground. The green roof integrates photovoltaic systems and solar panels; rainwater is also collected.
Thanks to an energy mix generated by the advanced systems, the house is not far from meeting the passive house standard. The mechanical ventilation combined with a very efficient heat recovery system guarantees optimal air quality and reduces energy losses through natural ventilation.
Thanks to the intensive dialogue between the construction company and the planners and the aim of constantly improving the house, an outstanding result has been achieved: in Montescudo in Emilia-Romagna, the first KlimaHaus Gold nature in brick construction has been built.
